Morning Meeting Helper

Today I got to watch Stella in her favorite classroom job: Morning Meeting Helper. She has been waiting for what has felt like ages for her turn to come around again and has been so excited to get to school every day to perform her duties. She told me that she can't wait each day for free choice to be over because that means it's meeting time. Her teacher was nice enough to let me come watch. Stella was adorable and did a great job leading the class in reading the message, calling on children ( with a marked favoritism towards girls), writing things on the board, leading the lass in reading the calendar, writing what number day of school it was (130) and being the weather watcher (cloudy). I love that kid so much I could watch her doing anything and be riveted but this was especially fun. And now I am going to sit in an unseasonably cold Central Park and watch her play soccer.
