Bedtime

It's definitely become a bit of an ordeal putting Vivian to bed. After 5 books and 5 songs, I leave the room. Then a long dialogue often ensues. It goes something like this: "Mommy, leave the door wide open." "Okay, Vivian." "Mommy, don't go too far." "Okay, Vivian." "Mommy, stay where you are." "I am. Go to sleep Vivian." "Mommy, please can you come back to check on me." "I will, Vivian." "Mommy, can you tuck me all in." And on and on and on. It's cute and all but... Tonight, we went out for Pinkberry. When I was putting Vivian to sleep, she asked if we could go again and she could get that flavor. I said we would go again sometime. After a short pause, Vivian said, "You're a great mom." Also, cute tonight: on the page of "David Gets In Trouble" where David is ruining his class picture and you can see all his classmates, she started naming who everyone in the picture was. When she got to the boy with thick glasses, she named him "Goggle Boy."
