The Nutcracker

Watching today with Vivian on my lap was pretty sweet. As the music started, I said to her, "Do you recognize this music from when we listen to it at home" because we have been listening at home A LOT lately. Vivian replied, "Yes, but it's better when you see it." I am not sure if she was talking about seeing the musicians playing or seeing the ballet but sweet nonetheless.

Then halfway through Act One she whispered, "That light doesn't look real" talking about the chandelier painted on the backdrop.

At intermission I asked her if she heard the baby making noise because there was one in the theater and he/she was making a lot of noise. With some disgust she replied, "Yes, I did!"

Of course best was watching both my girls watch their cousin Clara. They looked so excited and proud and were happy to wave to her as she glided across the stage angel-style.
