A few favorite Vivian-isms:
Definitely everyone's favorite is calling a backpack a "pack pack". Indeed, the whole family now says "pack pack" for fear that Vivian might learn the actual word for her schoolbag.
The other day, when I got home Vivian was reporting on her day and told me a (made-up) story that began, "Unfortunately, I was whining a lot..." I guess 'unfortunately' was the vocabulary word of the day. The story ended up being about how she couldn't have a playdate with the friend she did have a playdate with and had to go to someone else's house. This was not accurate -- as most of what Vivian reports is not. This girl has a huge imagination and basically about half of what she tells you about her day, etc. is 100% invented. But every once in awhile, you get a remarkably accurate re-telling of an event which is always exciting.
Stella really wanted to watch "Guys and Dolls" this morning. Vivian said, "No! I don't want to watch "Girls and Dogs".
Also, about two weeks ago in the middle of the night you called out (really loud), "Mommy! Daddy!" Daddy is always very happy to be called by you so he jumped up and went to you. Apparently you guys had some conversation about falling out the window so in the morning, he told me to ask you about it. I didn't need to. When you woke up the first thing you said to me was, "Mommy, I fell out the window." I asked you to tell me more and this was the content of your first dream. You were in the living room and you fell out the window and you yelled, "Mommy. Daddy" because you were afraid you were going to hit the tree. You landed softly but you hurt your finger when you pushed on the ground to stand up. I was really happy to hear about the soft landing. I hope it means you feel safe.
